===== Lawrence Frank =====

===== Prior to Marquette =====

Frank attended Indiana University where he was a student manager for Bobby Knight during all four years of college.  He graduated with a B.S. in Education in 1992.  According to Deadspin, [[http://deadspin.com/357990/lawrence-frank-might-have-been-the-knight-mole|Frank is believed to be the person]] that secretly recorded Knight's famed locker room tirade on the eve of a game versus Purdue University in 1991:

> Lawrence Frank is a prime suspect. The New Jersey Nets coach couldn't be reached, but he was a basketball manager at IU then and was in the room. "Lawrence Frank definitely could have done something like this," Leary said. "There was never a manager that was more full of (it) than he was. He would take us to fraternity parties on campus and just walk us all in — and it wasn't even his fraternity. He was just as full of (it) as they came."

===== At Marquette ======

Frank joined Kevin O'Neill's staff for the 1992-93 season as Special/Graduate assistant on the recommendation of Bobby Knight.  He stayed at Marquette for two years, earning a MS in Education Administration in 1994.

===== After Marquette =====

Frank left Marquette in 1994 to join Kevin O'Neill's staff at the University of Tennessee as an assistant coach.  After three years at Tennessee, Frank left the college ranks to become an assistant coach for the then Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA where he stayed until 2000.  After the 1999-2000 season, Frank joined Byron Scott's inaugural staff with the New Jersey Nets.  When Scott was fired in January 2004, Frank was named the interim head coach and later head coach.
