J. V. Grunts was a bar located at the corner of 15th a & Wells (the George Webb's is currently in the same spot) and was wildly popular, particularly among non-seniors [remember, 18 years was the legal drinking age] in the 1970's into the early 1980's. Plastic drinking cups for beer were printed with the memorable slogan “Don't Go To J. V. Grunts - It's Too Damn Crowded.”
