During his career at St. Catherine's, Calvelli and his teams compiled an 82-8 record, won the Catholic state title twice, and competed in the National Catholic tourney at Washington, D.C., three times.

Was the third-leading scorer on Marquette's 1961-62 freshman team with 122 points in 12 games for a 10.1 average.
