Slightly erratic from the Christmas layoff, Marquette overwhelmed UW-Milwaukee in a 93-50 tragi-comedy at the Arena. The Cardinals of UW-Milwaukee fought on even terms in the first ten minutes, before Marquette exploded, outscoring them 29-3 in the last 9:30 of the first half, turning the game into a blowout, continuing the joke after the intermission. Big Len Jefferson, four inches taller than the tallest UWM player, was the individual star of the evening, scoring a career-high 24 points and gathering 14 rebounds in about 25 minutes of playing time.
